What we do
SniffScam analyzes email content to help you identify potential scams. You paste an email, we check it, you get a verdict.
What we collect
Email content you submit
We send the email text you paste to our analysis provider (OpenAI) for processing. OpenAI retains data for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring, then deletes it. They do not use your data to train their models.
We do not store your email content on our servers.
Links in emails
If your email contains links, we may check them against Google Safe Browsing to identify known malicious URLs. Google receives only the URLs, not your email content.
Usage data
We use basic analytics to understand how the tool is used (page views, button clicks). We do not track you across other websites.
Local storage
We store a counter on your device to track daily usage limits. This never leaves your browser.
What we don't do
- We do not store your email content
- We do not sell your data
- We do not create accounts or profiles
- We do not require personal information to use the free tier
Third-party services
Payments
If you purchase premium access, payments are handled by Stripe. We receive confirmation of purchase but never see or store your credit card details.
